Ingredients

- 8 oz fettuccine or penne
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- ½ cup reserved pasta water
- Optional: grilled chicken or spinach
Instructions
- Boil pasta in salted water according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water.
- In a large skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes.
- Add cream and simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in parmesan, season with salt and pepper, and add reserved pasta water to thin sauce.
- Toss in cooked pasta and combine well.
- Add optional chicken or spinach if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- You can use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken for faster prep.
- Try swapping cream with half & half for a lighter version.
