Description

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 8 oz fettuccine or penne
  2. 2 tbsp butter
  3. 4 garlic cloves, minced
  4. 1 cup heavy cream
  5. 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  6. Salt and black pepper to taste
  7. ½ cup reserved pasta water
  8. Optional: grilled chicken or spinach

Instructions

  • Boil pasta in salted water according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add cream and simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in parmesan, season with salt and pepper, and add reserved pasta water to thin sauce.
  • Toss in cooked pasta and combine well.
  • Add optional chicken or spinach if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  1. You can use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken for faster prep.
  2. Try swapping cream with half & half for a lighter version.
