- 6 large eggs
- 1¼ cups heavy cream or milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (Gruyère, cheddar, or Swiss)
- 4 oz cooked bacon or ham
- 1–2 cups vegetables (spinach, mushrooms, broccoli)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
- If using crust, blind bake for 10 minutes; if crustless, grease the dish.
- Whisk eggs, dairy, seasoning, and nutmeg.
- Add cheese, meat, and vegetables into the crust or dish.
- Pour in egg mixture and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until center is set.
- Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
