Description
- Cranberry Brie Bites are the perfect festive appetizer easy to make, beautiful on the plate, and packed with creamy, tangy flavor. Ideal for holiday gatherings and potlucks
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz brie cheese, cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
- Fresh rosemary (optional, for garnish)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
- 2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 24 even squares (about 2 inches each).
- 3. Press each puff pastry square gently into the muffin tin cups.
- 4. Place one cube of brie into each puff pastry cup.
- 5. Top each with about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
- 6. In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush the edges of each pastry with egg wash for a golden finish.
- 7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
- 8. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly. Garnish with fresh rosemary if desired.
- 9. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- You can prepare the puff pastry squares and cube the brie ahead of time, then assemble just before baking. If you prefer, use homemade cranberry sauce for a more personalized flavor, though store-bought works perfectly. Brie rind is edible, so there’s no need to remove it. Add chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts) for an extra crunch. These bites are best served warm but can be reheated in the oven at 300°F for 5 minutes.
