- 1/3 cup maple syrup or honey

- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
- Chopped walnuts or sea salt for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper.
- Mash bananas (or blend chickpeas until smooth).
- Stir in maple syrup, eggs, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the center is just set.
- Let cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
