- A spooky twist on the classic margarita, this Halloween version blends tequila with apple cider syrup, lime, and dramatic garnishes.

- 2 ounces tequila reposado (or blanco)
- 1 ounce apple cider syrup
- ½ ounce lime juice
- Kosher salt or black colored sugar, for the rim
- Blood orange slice, for garnish (optional)
- Clear ice, for serving
- Halloween cocktail picks (optional)
- For the apple cider syrup:
- 4 cups apple cider
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 4 cinnamon sticks
Instructions
- Make the apple cider syrup: Place apple cider, sugar, and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan. Bring to a low boil and reduce for 30–35 minutes until you have ¾ cup syrup.
- Prepare the glass: Run a lime wedge around the rim and dip it in salt or black sugar.
- Make the drink: Add tequila, cider syrup, and lime juice to a shaker with ice. Shake until chilled.
- Strain into the prepared glass filled with clear ice.
- Garnish with blood orange and cocktail pick if desired.
Notes
- Make the syrup ahead it stores for 2 weeks in the fridge.
- For a non-alcoholic version, swap tequila with ginger beer or pomegranate juice.
