Ingredients

  1. 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  2. 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  3. 3 garlic cloves, minced
  4. 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  5. 1/4 tsp black pepper
  6. 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
  7. Salt, to taste

Instructions

  • Boil pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente.
  • Drain pasta, reserving 1/4 cup of pasta water.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  • Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss with garlic butter.
  • Stir in parmesan, reserved pasta water, black pepper, and salt.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  1. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy twist.
  2. Great with a side of steamed broccoli or leftover grilled chicken.
