- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Boil pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente.
- Drain pasta, reserving 1/4 cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss with garlic butter.
- Stir in parmesan, reserved pasta water, black pepper, and salt.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy twist.
- Great with a side of steamed broccoli or leftover grilled chicken.
