- 1 box white cake mix (plus ingredients on box)
- Cooking spray
- 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
- 4 Tbsp melted buttern½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamonnPinch kosher salt
- ½ cup heavy creamn8 oz. cream cheese
- 4 Tbsp softened butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 pan. Prepare cake as directed on box and bake for 20 minutes.
- Let the cake cool slightly. Use a spoon handle to poke holes all over the top.
- Whisk together sweetened condensed milk, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour over the cake, letting it seep into holes.
- Whip the heavy cream to stiff peaks. Separately, beat cream cheese and softened butter until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla, and salt, then fold in whipped cream.
- Spread frosting over the cooled cake.
- Refrigerate for 20 minutes before serving.
Notes
- This cake tastes even better the next day. Store covered in the fridge for up to 4 days.
