Description

  • Soft, buttery Christmas cinnamon rolls made from scratch or using canned dough. Perfect for cozy mornings with festive twists.

Ingredients

  1. 3 cups all-purpose flour
  2. 1 cup warm milk
  3. 1 packet instant yeast
  4. 1 large egg
  5. 1/4 cup melted butter
  6. 1/4 cup sugar
  7. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  8. 1/2 tsp salt
  9. 1/2 cup softened butter
  10. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  11. 2 tbsp cinnamon
  12. 4 oz cream cheese
  13. 2 tbsp butter
  14. 1 cup powdered sugar
  15. 1 tsp vanilla
  16. 23 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5 minutes.
  • Mix with egg, butter, flour, salt, and vanilla until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead dough until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.
  • Roll dough into a rectangle and spread with softened butter.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar evenly.
  • Roll into a log and slice into 12 rolls.
  • Place in baking dish and let rise 30–45 minutes.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 22–25 minutes.
  • Mix icing ingredients and spread over warm rolls.

  1. Optional: Add nutmeg or orange zest for a festive flavor.
  2. Make ahead by refrigerating overnight before baking.
  3. Top with sprinkles or crushed candy canes for decoration.
