Instructions

  • ream butter with sugars until fluffy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla; mix until smooth.
  • Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  • Fold in chocolate chips or chunks.
  • Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  • Scoop and bake at 350°F for 9–11 minutes.

Notes

  1. For pumpkin variation, add 1/4 cup pumpkin puree and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
  2. Chill dough longer for thicker cookies.
