Description

  • These garlic butter green beans are quick, easy, and full of fresh flavor. Sautéed until crisp-tender and finished with lemon, they’re perfect for weeknights or holiday meals.

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  2. 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  3. 2 garlic cloves, minced
  4. 1 tbsp olive oil
  5. Salt and black pepper to taste
  6. 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  • Blanch green beans in boiling water for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath.
  • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add drained green beans to the skillet.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Sauté for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Finish with lemon juice if using.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

  1. For extra flavor, toss in toasted almonds or grated Parmesan before serving.
  2. If using frozen green beans, skip the blanching step and cook straight from frozen.
