- 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Blanch green beans in boiling water for 2–3 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add drained green beans to the skillet.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Sauté for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Finish with lemon juice if using.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, toss in toasted almonds or grated Parmesan before serving.
- If using frozen green beans, skip the blanching step and cook straight from frozen.
